Stretch Yourself!


Pre exercise stretching is all about preparing the muscles we plan to use for the workload we plan to use them for.

A warm up should be dynamic and specific, raising the heart rate, core body temperature and getting muscles prepared for the function of the session.

We ALWAYS do this at Tri-club and we encourage our athletes to become familiar with the techniques so that they can use them before all exercise.

Here is a video demonstrating an important stretch we use prior to a run session, usually following a very easy jog to warm up.
